Jackie's creative world

Jackie lives in North Shropshire in a pretty little village with wonderful views, from her studio, right over to The Wrekin and South Shropshire Hills.

In the 1990's Jackie moved back to Shropshire from London and decided on a career change from an Interior Designer to a Graphic Designer and Illustrator.

She was employed by the newly formed Gibson Greetings as a Technical Artist and created the Technical Department where all the finish drawings for the greeting cards were designed. Jackie then spent the next 12 years at Gibson Greetings progressing from a technical artist to a multi-disciplined greeting cards artist and Mac Operator working from visualising new designs through to finished pre-press files.

Jackie works in all different mediums including watercolour, acrylic, pen and ink, textiles and her artwork is intricate due to her love of detail gained from many years of drawing architectural drawings. She also creates artworks on her iMac within the Adobe CC 2014 Design Suite.

For the past eight years Jackie has been working freelance, mainly for UK Greetings, with an extensive amount of her designs being used in Asda, Sainsburys, Tescos, Clinton Cards and independents.

The highlight of Jackie's greeting card career was when her Laser Diecut Range for Nigel Quiney Publications won the 'Best Spring Range' at the Progressive Greetings 'Henries' Awards in 2010.

Jackie is looking forward to an exciting future by concentrating on designing her own brand of limited edition homeware products which will include limited edition prints of her paintings.
